Go For The Head 🗡️

Want to get back to it?

Show No Mercy. Take No Prisoners ☠

Are you great?

Be honest. Are you as great right now as you should be?

If the answer is no, then ask yourself — what stands in the way?

Some will point to their job, their city, their family, their finances, an illness, an injury, or their past as a reason for their lack of success.

But most of the time, what’s stopping them is not the outside.

What’s stopping them – and you – is you …

It’s your doubt.

Your hesitation.

That tiny pause that turns into paralysis.

Greatness doesn’t die from failure — it dies from waiting too long to begin, or from being abandoned midway through the journey.

In life, you’re on your own.

It’s you versus you, and your wildest dreams are behind a wall of glass – thin enough to see through, but thick enough to keep you out – unless broken.

Together, we’re going to blow the detonator within, and extract the treasures behind the glass.

The glass casing is your doubt. Will you shatter it?

Whether you’re trying to progress with your:

  • Hobbies

  • Daily tasks

  • Education

  • Personal life

  • Small business

  • Health

  • Family

  • Faith

The only true obstacle is doubt, and therefore, your own mind.

Doubt is conjured out of fear. And fear is toxic as hell – it’s a projection of the worst possible scenario. A total Debbie Downer …

In many cases – in fact, in every single case, fear is not real.

It’s the future that hasn’t happened, and will only become real if you allow it to.

“The Devil was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44

See, negativity thrives on hesitation like a parasite.

It sows seeds of doubt and fear, ultimately imploding the host it takes on.

You must identify the hallmarks of these negative, chaotic agents that are distracting you from your objectives and eliminate them immediately.

Show no mercy.

On some level, many of us understand this.

We’ve all felt uncertainty. We’ve all been scared, nervous, and doubtful, especially when it comes to things we really care about.

As our fears increase, doubt becomes more sophisticated. It dresses itself up as reason, or even common sense.

“Why would you ever think to do that?” It asks. “You know better than to speak up for yourself. Just remember what happened last time …”

Devil = fear, doubt, hesitation, regression, negativity, evil and lies.

Doubt is out there, waiting.

It isn’t random. It’s calculated, precise. Doubt hunts. It knows who it wants.

“The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

Doubt can recognize the signs of quitting. It waits. It studies you like prey. “He is sniffing out the one who is mentally wounded, spiritually lame, or emotionally sick.”

If we want to succeed, we must squash doubt and fear with a ruthless tenacity.

Show even a shred of mercy to evil and it will rise up and consume you with no conscience.

We must leave no uncertainty alive.

Take no prisoners.

There’s this real chilling movie Jeepers Creepers that I’d watch through my fingers as a kid.

The titular character would appear every 23 years to wreak havoc, killing innocent people with no hesitation.

Worst of all, there was no easy way to eliminate him.

• Guns don’t work.

• Fire doesn’t work.

• Cutting off limbs? He grows them back.

• Hoping for rescue? Nice try.

If you don’t crush doubt completely, it will find a way to reassemble, and come back stronger. Even if you leave just a piece, it will wait. You don’t outlast doubt. You annihilate it.

In pursuit of high-level goals, fatigue and frustration is inevitable.

Soon enough, the limp comes out, and you’re marked.

Your heart starts beating like a drum. Your vision is crossed and blurred.

You’ve forgotten all about chasing your purpose.

It’s survival mode, and you’re in the crosshairs of your doubts.

The Struggling Girl, Kevin Carter, 26 March 1993.

But that doesn’t mean it’s over. Far from it.

With this greedy beast on your tail, you’re in the driver’s seat.

Pick up your slack, keep your eyes on the prize, and give all the power and focus to the goal ahead.

That’s how success and purpose is achieved.

It has nothing to do with talent. It’s not even about timing.

Greatness is the result an irrational of belief and drive that borders on madness.

It grows with each positive thought and progressive action, expanding likelihood while others are asleep – materializing while others are doubting.

It doesn’t listen to the noise.

That parlays into something real, tangible, and dangerous.

That’s true creation – a force that stands tall amidst the rubble.

As you persist, you’ll notice the beast of doubt becoming weak.

It will question itself. The tables have turned, and your chance to squash the monster is right in front of you.

You were never prey. You were always the crusher. But you forgot.

And now — it’s time to remember.

Don’t hesitate. Go for the head.

Hell's Kitchen is an awesome (and yes, very real) place in NYC with tons of unique restaurants and quirky businesses.

As a native, I find that our hood is understated as a people-first place.

We're about community here, and you can truly feel that through the words of the leaders I speak to in my videos.

My goal with Joints of Hell’s Kitchen is to put good people and good places on the map.

Those who are running a positive, community-centric business deserve a platform to tell their stories and receive recognition.

We are so blessed to still have real people with good intentions in these times, so my content is my gratitude.

So much of the pride I hold for my home of Hell’s Kitchen comes from the Mom and Pop spots.

Some of them, like Cubby’s, are new to the neighborhood.

Others, like Poseidon Bakery, have been in HK for over a century.

Cubby's vision is firmly anchored in community-building. With a heritage in restaurants and hospitality, the siblings plan to expand their community-focused model to other neighborhoods and cities, combining family tradition, culinary expertise, and a commitment to creating meaningful ties within the transience of New York City.

Cubby's, a beloved burger spot founded by siblings Leila and Charles Guenancia, embodies the homestyle cooking and people-centric vibe that we're looking to build.

"We want this to be a community hub," Charles tells me. "It's our responsibility to contribute to this place, instead of just taking from it."
